Adopt Carola

Unknown · Adult · 4 years

August 2025 Carola and Libera are one heart and one soul. They could hardly be more different—and yet they fit perfectly together. Libera is the calm, gentle soul. She observes new situations from a safe distance first. She is also happy to let the more daring Carola take the lead. But as soon as she realizes everything is okay, she becomes brave too. She tenderly grooms her best friend Carola and often seeks the closeness of her foster mom. Libera's heart is not won by a simple passing by—once she has warmed to someone, she gives them her whole love. Carola, on the other hand, is a bundle of energy. Play, frolic, and always ready for a new adventure—that's her world. If it were up to her, the whole day would be spent playing. Libera will sometimes find this too much. Then she simply seeks a quieter spot. Carola is right there when it comes to cuddling or playing. She gives her heart immediately and lays it at your feet. Both visitors are warmly and without hesitation welcomed. Two cat girls who fit perfectly: one calm and gentle, the other full of energy. Both are people-oriented and simply uncomplicated. If you would like to give the two a Forever Home, I look forward to your message. May 2025 Carola and Libera have become a real dream team on their foster home in Aachen. One thing they show very clearly: without each other, nothing works! As soon as one of them is out of sight for longer, the other immediately starts looking for her. They frolic through the apartment together, chase their toys, or play catch—and then snuggle up closely and groom each other. This is true cat friendship. As the two are so attached to each other, they will only be rehomed together.

About Carola

What life with Carola looks like

Carola is a adult cat waiting at PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Carola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Carola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Carola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Carola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Carola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Carola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Carola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
