🧑 Meet Carrot – The Quiet Little Boy Waiting for Someone Special 🧑 Carrot – C2026-39 🐱 10 weeks old 🐱 Carrot would love to be adopted with his wonderful mum, Hazel, who gives him so much confidence. If that's not possible, he will need a home with a friendly resident cat to help him continue to flourish. βœ”οΈ To be adopted on a neutering agreement βœ”οΈ First vaccination completed βœ”οΈ Microchipped βœ”οΈ Up to date with flea and worm treatment βœ”οΈ Comes with 5 weeks' free Agria Pet Insurance Carrot may not be the first kitten to race over and greet you, but behind those cautious eyes is a gentle little boy just waiting for someone to show him that the world isn't so scary. Since three of his siblings left for their forever homes, Carrot has started to blossom. Every day he grows a little braverβ€”he now comes over to investigate what you're doing, enjoys gentle strokes, and is beginning to discover that people can be pretty wonderful. He absolutely adores his mum and can usually be found following her around, taking comfort from her presence. It's incredibly sweet to watch, and shows just how loving and loyal he is. Although naturally quiet and reserved, Carrot has recently become much more confident around his sister, Cherry, happily joining in with playtime and showing that he's finding his feet. Carrot will need a patient, understanding family who will allow him to settle at his own pace. In return, you'll have the privilege of watching a shy little kitten grow into a confident, loving companion. Those first purrs and cuddles will be all the more rewarding because you'll know you've earned his trust. 🏑 Home Requirements 🐾 Patient owners who will let him settle in his own time. πŸ‘Ά Not tested with children. 🐱 Enjoyed the company of his siblings and is beginning to play more confidently. 🐢 Not tested with dogs. πŸ“ Fostered in Newport Sometimes the quietest kittens have the biggest heartsβ€”they just need someone willing

About Carrot

What life with Carrot looks like

Carrot is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Friends of Animals Wales in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Carrot, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Carrot?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Friends of Animals Wales handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Carrot on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Carrot if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Friends of Animals Wales will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Carrot already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Carrot isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Friends of Animals Wales early rather than rehoming privately; they know Carrot and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
