Cassie

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Lovable and snuggly Cassie is searching for her forever family with the help of Jerry Green Dog Rescue in South Lincolnshire. She loves spending time with her humans and think there’s nothing better than being part of the family. Cassie is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross and is just over 8 years old. If you’re looking for a best friend who adores cuddles and will always be by your side, she's definitely the one for you. Cassie could live with children aged 8 years+ but would prefer to be the only pet in her new home; she never has had to share her space before and cats are just too tempting to chase! She is currently sharing her foster home with a bearded dragon, so small enclosed animals shouldn’t be a problem. Cassie is definitely open to making some walking friends once she has settled in. She has some mild arthritis and is not up for extreme amounts of exercise, but she does enjoy a walk most days. She is carrying a little extra weight (who doesn’t love an extra treat or two?), but she's ready to get moving and a secure garden would be perfect for pottering. Cassie would love an active family for regular walks and help her stick to her feeding plan. At first, she would like her humans to be around most of the time as she thrives on love and attention but, with a little time and patience, she will be okay with your popping out for quick errands for a couple of hours. She is house-trained. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ If you are the loving family Cassie has been dreaming of, please contact Jerry Green South Lincolnshire as follows: Complete a Dog Application Form here , or Ext 500) or Email: Please mention that you saw Cassie on the Oldies Club website.

About Cassie

What life with Cassie looks like

Cassie is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cassie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cassie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cassie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cassie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cassie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cassie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cassie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
