Wie so viele weitere Katze musste Celeste sich auf der Straße durchschlagen – und sich um ihre drei Kitten kümmern. Das schüchterne Quartett hatte Glück und konnte gesichert werden. Nach ein paar Wochen trennten wir Celeste von ihrem Wurf. Sie ist nun kastriert und bewohnt zusammen mit einigen anderen mehr oder weniger scheuen Artgenossen einen Raum im Katzenhaus. Zu unserer Erleichterung hat Celeste sich dort sehr schnell eingelebt und die junge Katze in ihr kam zum Vorschein. Tagsüber hielt sie sich zunächst bedeckt, aber nachts tobte sie durch den Raum und begann mit allem zu spielen, was ihr vor die Nase kam. Unsere ehrenamtlichen Katzenbetreuer:innen berichten, dass Celeste inzwischen schon tolle Fortschritte macht. Sie kommt auch tagsüber heraus, faucht nicht mehr und entpuppt sich als großer Fan von Spielangeln. Anfangs wirkte es, als hätte sie weder Probleme noch Interesse an den anderen Katzen; mittlerweile sucht sie den Kontakt.
