Adopt CELESTE

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

A CELESTE they found wandering the streets, completely lost and disoriented. Totally abandoned. And lucky for you they found you, little one. Lucky, because you would have missed out on the big life, and the big life would have missed out on how great you are. CELESTE is a big, very energetic and happy gal; it's hilarious to watch her because she's like a big puppy. When she sees us coming to get her, she goes wild with joy, jumping up and down, kissing us, standing on two legs to hug us. But, as we've said, she's like a female puppy with a lot of strength and bulk, and we have to put limits on her because she can sometimes go overboard. She's very affectionate and good-natured, though a bit intense and has quite a personality with other dogs. When she first arrived, she was very social, but it's true that all the time at the our shelter has made her more dominant in getting along with others.

About CELESTE

What life with CELESTE looks like

CELESTE is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Protectora Malaga in Málaga.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

Note from the shelter: Dominant with other dogs, needs boundaries training due to strength and intensity

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting CELESTE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about CELESTE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Protectora Malaga handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw CELESTE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt CELESTE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Protectora Malaga will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is CELESTE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if CELESTE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Protectora Malaga early rather than rehoming privately; they know CELESTE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
