Chapi

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 4 months

Chapi is a lovely black kitten, the brother of Merlin, Merlina and Siena. He is shy and a bit reserved around people. When someone approaches, he sometimes gets scared and runs away, but if you approach him carefully and respect his space, you can stroke him. He doesn’t quite enjoy being cuddled yet, although little by little he may come to realise that being stroked can also be pleasant. He gets on well with other cats and feels comfortable sharing his space with them. That’s why it would be wonderful if he could find a patient family who understand his nature and give him time to settle in, without expecting more from him than he’s ready to give. Chapi needs a chance to continue building his confidence and progress at his own pace. 💛 🏡 To ensure his safety, it is essential that windows and balconies have appropriate safety measures in place before adoption. 📩 Adoption enquiries: 📸 Follow us on Instagram:

About Chapi

What life with Chapi looks like

Chapi is a small kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chapi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chapi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chapi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chapi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Chapi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chapi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chapi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
