Charles

Male · Kitten · 3 months

Charles is a tiny kitten who urgently needs to find a loving home. He is still a baby and his body is very delicate and particularly vulnerable to bacteria and viruses. For this reason, he should leave the shelter as soon as possible. We are looking for caring and responsible caregivers for him. Due to his very young age, it is best for him to go to a home with another young kitten or to one where a resident cat already lives. This will give him the opportunity to learn cat communication and develop properly. Adopting such little ones requires dedication and knowledge, so in the case of inexperience with babies, we encourage you to read the cat adoption guide, which contains the most important information about raising a kitten. With it, the caregiver will be able to better prepare for welcoming the little one into the home. Guide: We invite you to fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire and come to the shelter with it already filled out: Please note: When deciding on adoption or considering it, be sure to bring a transporter or transport bag for cats to the shelter with you. Before adoption, make sure your home / apartment is safe and properly prepared to accept a new family member. Remember to secure windows and balcony. If you have a resident cat, bring the results of FIV and FeLV tests with you.

Charles trafił do Schroniska z silnymi objawami kociego kataru, którym towarzyszyły ropny wypływ z oczu i zapalenie spojówek. * Przygotuj bezpieczny dom – zabezpiecz okna i balkon.

About Charles

What life with Charles looks like

Charles is a small kitten cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Charles, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Charles?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Charles on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Charles if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Charles already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Charles isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Charles and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
