Charli

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 2 months

Charlie's world was just a forest in Romania a few days ago. There he was abandoned along with nine other puppies. Ten little puppies, far too young to be left alone. They were found and brought to safety - and that gave their story a chance for a different direction. Charlie is one of them. Just about eight weeks old, he has only known a tiny part of what a dog's life can be. A own bed, fixed caregivers, walks, strange noises, car rides, visits, quiet times - all this will be new to him. And that's exactly what's special: whoever chooses Charlie gets the chance to accompany him on an incredible number of first times. Charlie probably has German Shepherd shares. What else is in him will probably remain his little secret. We assume he will grow to be medium to large later. We are looking for people for Charlie who consciously choose a puppy from animal welfare. Who give him time to arrive, offer him friendly and reliable orientation and know that development does not always run smoothly. Puberty will also be part of it at some point - with new challenges and maybe one or the other day when Charlie presents his very own interpretation of what he has learned so far. We do not know where his story will lead. But we very much hope that the forest was only the beginning. Charlie travels to his new home vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and flea-free as well as with an EU pet passport. After a positive preliminary check and against a deposit fee he can travel to his home. Many thanks to Martina B., who took on Charlie's name sponsorship and gave him his name. Status: 09.09.2026 Further information on the topic of preliminary check and deposit fee

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Charli

What life with Charli looks like

Charli is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Charli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Charli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Charli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Charli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Charli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Charli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Charli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
