Nisha

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Nisha is a dog that can hardly be looked at without immediately having a smile on your face. The approximately 1-year-old female dog is about 60 cm tall and with her shiny black coat, white chest, long legs, and athletic figure, she is an exceptionally elegant appearance. Her fate could have been very different. Her owner brought Nisha to the shelter and presented Dorel with a choice: either he takes the dog - or she sets her free in the forest. Fortunately, Nisha did not have to wait long for help and was allowed to move into the shelter. And there she shows what a great dog she is. Nisha is cheerful, lively and full of energy. She goes openly and friendly to everything and everyone and seems convinced that every person and every dog could be a potential new friend. Nisha also gets along well with her fellow dogs. She is social, playful and uncomplicated in dealing with other dogs. And of course, she also wrapped Dorel and Mrs. Medan around her paw in no time. With her open and friendly nature, it really makes it difficult to resist her. For Nisha, we wish people who have fun with a young, active dog and want to occupy her both physically and mentally. She wants to discover the world, learn new things and experience adventures together with her people. At the same time, her family should of course also teach her the dog's multiplication table with loving consistency and accompany her through the exciting time of growing up. Nisha has probably already experienced in her life how quickly you can lose a person. This time we wish her people who really take her in as a family member and give her a home forever. Who wants to get to know this beautiful young dog and let her wrap her paw around her? Nisha travels spayed, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed and dewormed with an EU pet passport to her new home. She will be placed for a deposit after a positive preliminary check. Many thanks to Gabi C.! You gave Nisha her name and thus an identity. Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Gabi C.!

About Nisha

What life with Nisha looks like

Nisha is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nisha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nisha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nisha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nisha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nisha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nisha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nisha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
