Charlie

Poodle · Male · Puppy · 3 months

As far as pups go, Charlie really is a wonderful boy, he entertains himself playing, tries his best to toilet on the pads or outside and loves a cuddle. Charlie loves other dogs and it would be great for him to live with another dog in his new home to play with and show him the way, but he could also live as an only dog too, given he wasn't to spend too long home alone. We are told that Charlie is a Poodle x Staffy, however we cannot confirm this. Charlie is an adorable 3 month old cross breed pup who is looking for a fresh start in his perfect forever home. Charlie is a happy go lucky pup who loves everyone, both dogs and people. He would suit an active home where he can be kept busy both mentally and physically and a home where all his puppy needs are going to be appropriately managed to help him grow up into a happy, well rounded dog, such as basic training, toilet training, car travel and being left home alone. Charlie is of course extremely cute but we don't know how big he is going to grow up to be, he does have big paws!

About Charlie

What life with Charlie looks like

Charlie is a large puppy/kitten poodle dog waiting at Dogs Trust Bridgend in Mid Glamorgan.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Charlie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Charlie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Bridgend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Charlie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Charlie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Bridgend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Charlie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Charlie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Bridgend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Charlie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
