Charlie is looking for a new home. He is microchipped and vaccinated and is known to be healthy. He understands basic commands and some beyond, drives problem-free in the car, walks nicely on a leash and can stay alone for hours. Typical Golden Retriever, he loves water, food and everything that looks like treats - for the right reward he is enthusiastic about the task. He is generally open to people and enjoys attention, petting, extensive grooming and long sniffing rounds. At the same time, he brings a big stubbornness and great impatience, which can make him angry. Charlie probably built his positive character traits in his first 5 years of life, which he spent with his owner. Then the two had to separate due to family changes. Charlie had difficulty adjusting to "new people". This is why there were also biting incidents and thus several "owner changes" (more on request) Charlie therefore needs clear, calm and reliable people. A quiet household without children and other animals is being sought, as well as dog-experienced people who take a lot of time for relationship building and educational work and give him the time he needs to arrive. He has been living at his current foster home in the Soester Börde since the beginning of September. Unfortunately, the living together with the female dog there does not work, which is why he is now looking for a home or a foster home that really suits him.

Charlie sucht ein neues Zuhause. Er ist gechippt und geimpft und soweit bekannt gesundheitlich unauffällig.Er beherrscht die Grundkommandos und einiges darüber hinaus, fährt problemlos im Auto mit, läuft ordentlich an der Leine und kann stundenweise allein bleiben. Typisch Golden Retriever liebt er Wasser, Futter und alles, was nach Leckerchen aussieht – für die richtige Belohnung ist er mit großer Begeisterung bei der Sache. Menschen gegenüber ist er grundsätzlich aufgeschlossen und genießt Aufmerksamkeit, Streicheleinheiten, ausgiebige Fellpflege und lange Schnüffelrunden. Gleichzeitig bringt er einen ordentlichen Dickkopf und große Ungeduld mit, die ihn schon einmal aufbrausend werden lassen.Seine positiven Charaktereigenschaften hat Charlie wahrscheinlich in seinen ersten 5 Lebensjahren aufgebaut, die er bei seinem Herrchen verbringen durfte. Dann mussten sich die beiden aufgrund familiärer Veränderungen trennen. Auf „neue Menschen“ hat Charlie sich nur schwer eingestellt. So kam es auch zu Beißvorfällen und somit zu einigen „Besitzerwechseln“ (Mehr dazu auf Nachfrage) Charlie braucht daher klare, ruhige und verlässliche Menschen. Gesucht wird ein ruhiger Haushalt ohne Kinder und andere Tiere sowie hundeerfahrene Menschen, die sich viel Zeit für Beziehungsaufbau und Erziehungsarbeit nehmen und ihm die nötige Zeit zum Ankommen geben.An seiner derzeitigen Pflegestelle in der Soester Börde lebt er seit Anfang September. Mit der dort vorhandenen Hündin funktioniert das Zusammenleben leider nicht, weshalb er nun möglichst schnell ein Zuhause oder eine Pflegestelle sucht, die wirklich zu ihm passt.
