Adopt CHEIK

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 10 years

The story of this little one is the same or similar to that of all the dogs that unfortunately arrive at our animal rescue association. It seems that his "family" gave CHEIK to another family, which then left him on the street. A boy walking his dog found him in a neighborhood of Seville. After taking him to the vet and scanning him with the scanner, it turned out he had a microchip. Neither of the families wanted to take responsibility, and that's how he became a member of Arca de Noé. CHEIK only weighs 5kg, he's a mouser and is 8 years old. Currently, he's in foster care living with a small child, but it's been difficult for him to adapt because children are naturally intense, and CHEIK is not a dog who enjoys being smothered. He's generally a well-behaved, calm, and laid-back little dog. He doesn't want a canine companion to live with and even less puppies who want to play. His adventurous days are over, and all he wants is peace. He also doesn't like being handled much or being kissed, he's a dog who asks for his space. He simply wants to be accompanied, calm, and in a family. If you want CHEIK to be part of your life, write to us: &;

About CHEIK

What life with CHEIK looks like

CHEIK is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Arca de Noé in Spain.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting CHEIK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about CHEIK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arca de Noé handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw CHEIK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt CHEIK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arca de Noé will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is CHEIK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if CHEIK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arca de Noé early rather than rehoming privately; they know CHEIK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
