Chester is a confident, character-strong dog in his prime, originally from Romania. At first glance, it’s clear that he is a mix of a hunting dog breed, and this is reflected in his hunting ambitions. His future family should keep this in mind to ensure he leaves regional wildlife and the neighbor’s cat alone. In his initial contact with people, he is friendly until somewhat indifferent, and when it comes to dogs, as usual, it depends on the sympathy, whether he shows any preference for male or female dogs. He can well represent his opinion, and both on a human and canine level, Chester needs a stable counterpart to respect. He requires a lot of trust before he opens up and can also be playful—then Chester can really get into it, jump around, and his play sounds almost like a dinosaur. ;-) The same trust is needed for physical manipulations; with his trusted people, he is now very refined and can even tolerate examinations of his muzzle, paws, and so on. He is accustomed to wearing a muzzle and wears it perfectly. He can also handle loose walking on a leash (after a reminder). Once Chester has built a bond and his future owners communicate clearly with him, he is a manageable and extremely attached, well-socialized dog who simply likes to be around without being a clingy companion. We can imagine him in a sporty family or simply as an everyday companion. Multi-dog housing with sovereign fellow animals is also possible. Children should already be bigger and more sturdy, and we do not see Chester with cats or small animals in the house. shoulder height: ca. 54 cm.

Chester ist ein selbstbewusster, charakterstarker Hund im besten Alter, der ursprünglich aus Rumänien stammt. Direkt fällt auf, das er ein Jagdhund-Mischling ist, und das spiegelt sich auch in seinen jagdlichen Ambitionen wieder. Das sollte Chesters zukünftige Familie im Blick behalten, damit er regionales Wild und die Nachbarskatze in Ruhe lässt. Im Erstkontakt mit Menschen ist er freundlich bis ignorant, bei Hunden entscheidet wie so oft die Sympathie, wobei er keinen Unterschied macht ob er einen Rüden oder eine Hündin vor sich hat. Seine Meinung kann er gut vertreten, und sowohl auf menschlicher als auch hündischer Ebene benötigt Chester ein stabiles Gegenüber, damit er es respektiert. Er braucht viel Vertrauen, bis er sich auflockert und auch mal lustig wird-- dann kann Chester richtig aufdrehen, rumhüpfen und klingt mit seinen Spielgeräuschen fast wie ein Dinosaurier. ;-)Dasselbe Vertrauen braucht er auch bei körperlichen Manipulationen; mit seinen Bezugspersonen ist er mittlerweile sehr fein geworden und erträgt auch mal Untersuchungen am Maul, an den Pfoten und so weiter. Er ist an den Maulkorb gewöhnt und trägt ihn einwandfrei. Das lockere Laufen an der Leine kann er (nach Erinnerung) auch gut. Wenn Chester einmal Bindung aufgebaut hat und seine zukünftigen Halter klar mit ihm kommunizieren, ist er ein leichtführiger und äußerst anhänglicher, verschmuster Hund, der einfach gerne dabei ist, ohne dabei zur Klette zu werden. Wir können ihn uns in einer sportlichen Familie oder einfach als Alltagsbegleiter vorstellen. Mehrhundehaltung bei souveränen Artgenossen ist auch möglich. Kinder sollten schon größer und standfester sein, bei Katzen und/oder Kleintieren im Haus sehen wir Chester nicht. Schulterhöhe: ca. 54 cm.
