Sirius has been re-boarding with us once again. Neither the people involved nor Sirius himself can be blamed for it. Sirius, one could say, has a disturbance that showed itself in the first home but has become an outright problem in the second home. Sirius bites, and it happens when something is not as expected. Even small deviations from the planned routine throw him off and he cannot cope with it. On the other hand, Sirius is a loving, sophisticated, talkative, and nice tomcat, people-oriented, and also very at home. He is no wild tomcat that could be let loose on a farm. Now, we have to figure out where his behavior comes from and how to address it. Anyone who wants to work on this problem with him is welcome. But without professional behavioral training, it will not work.

Sirius ist nun schon wieder bei uns eingezogen. Die Menschen trifft daran keine Schuld und Sirius ... ihn eigentlich auch nicht. Sirius hat, man kann es nicht anders sagen, eine Störung, die sich im ersten Zuhause schon gezeigt hat, im zweiten Zuhause aber zu einem ausgewachsenen Problem wurde. Sirius beißt, und zwar dann, wenn etwas anders als gewohnt läuft. Schon kleine Abweichungen vom vorgesehenen Ablauf bringen ihn aus dem Konzept und er kommt nicht damit zurecht. Auf der anderen Seite ist Sirius aber ein liebevoller, verschmuster, gesprächiger und netter Kater, menschenbezogen und auch gerne daheim. Er ist kein verwilderter Kater, den man auf einem Hof nebenher laufen lassen könnte. Jetzt müssen wir also erstmal überlegen, woher sein Verhalten kommt und wie man es abstellen kann. Wer mit ihm zusammen an diesem Problem arbeiten möchte, ist herzlich willkommen. Ohne professionelles Verhaltenstraining wird es aber nicht gehen.
