Adopt Chi

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 6 months

Chi little model who is fearless. At 2.5 years old, Chi is the runt of the litter! This tiny sprite has dedicated herself to proving that small doesn't mean timid. A big explorer and incurable curious cat, Chi was the first to do everything: the first to leave the nest, the first to climb the cat tree, the first to sneak into places she wasn't invited. Stubborn as a mule, she compensates for her miniature size with a huge personality and isn't afraid of the vacuum cleaner or the neighbor's dog. She's also a beautiful lady with a tri-colored coat, purring and clingy: she adores cuddles. She is up for double adoption with one of her brothers and sisters OR in a home that already has a cat. Chi is available for adoption at our area under the association Adopte un Matou. She is identified (with a microchip), primovaccinated (against typhus and cat flu), and dewormed (for fleas and worms). Her mother tested negative for FIV/FELV. Spaying/neutering is mandatory at 6 months (non-negotiable clause of the adoption contract). Adoption fee: 180 €. Placement is monitored. The exteriors (windows, balconies, etc.) of her future home must be securely enclosed: preventing a kitten/cat from escaping or falling (we will not consider any applications that do not meet this condition).

About Chi

What life with Chi looks like

Chi is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Adopte Un Matou in Maurecourt.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adopte Un Matou handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adopte Un Matou will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adopte Un Matou early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
