About Žofré

Zofré got a name because he lost one of his legs that couldn't be saved. He was brought to us during the freezing weather with a deformed foot in a woeful condition from the village of Dětenice, where the finder took care of him temporarily. She couldn't keep it because of cat-hating dogs, and she didn't know how to take care of his injured foot. The cat began to suffer from severe pain, and right after he got to us, he had to have an amputation of the back leg. He came to terms with that immediately, but fear of people lasted for a long time. Today he is a satisfied two-year-old cat who does not seek out cuddling, but otherwise is contact and playful.

Original (cs)
