Chip

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

Chip 172406 (as of July 2026) Born approximately 27.07.2017 Height at the shoulder approximately 52 cm male, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed Location: Prijatelji Animal Shelter/Croatia We will organize the dog's transport Chip 172406 is looking for a home This dear senior recently moved to our Croatian animal shelter. He brings a troubled past - we do not know exactly what he has experienced. Maybe he was once left to fend for himself or had to leave his home. Now his caregivers are getting to know him step by step to find the right people for him. Whether he prefers peace or still has a taste for small adventures will be shown. The shelter is currently very stressful for older dogs. All the more we wish for Chip 172406 a quiet, loving home where he can arrive and just be a dog. If you want to give a senior dog a sense of security, warmth and affection again, Chip 172406 could be the faithful soul that enriches your life. Much will probably still be new to him - but with patience, love and some training he will quickly gain confidence and flourish by your side. Dog school, joint progress and gentle encounters with children, cats & Co. help him become confident and make new friends. Would you like to give this special male a loving home? Contact: Our volunteer matchmakers will contact you quickly, answer questions and send all important information and documents. More about the process: Note: The properties mentioned are based on observations of the animal shelter and may change in a new environment. If the dog is still listed as "Chip xxx", he still needs a name and a vaccination sponsor; possibly a small additional fee will be charged for the deposit. Adoptadog e.V., 63931 Kirchzell - certified organization according to §11 TierSchG.

About Chip

What life with Chip looks like

Chip is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chip, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chip?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chip on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chip if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chip already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chip isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chip and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
