Chip

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 8 months

Chip 221493 (as of 28.03.2026) Born approximately 09.11.2025, shoulder height currently approximately 48 cm, female, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed. Location: Prijatelji Animal Shelter/Croatia. Transportation will be organized by us. Chip 221493 is looking for a home. Heartbreak alert! In our Croatian animal shelter, a curious, playful little girl dog is waiting in her packed suitcase for her big adventure: her own home. Despite her young age, she already has a story to tell - perhaps too early separated from her mom or with first unpleasant experiences. Therefore, patience, understanding and love are all the more important so that she can gain trust. In the shelter, she shows herself to be a real explorer, little chaotic and fun-loving. But her greatest wish? To be a full-time family member with cuddle units and a lifetime guarantee of treats. Who will give this little whirlwind a home where she can feel safe and loved? Dog school, joint progress and gentle encounters with children, cats & Co. will help her become confident and make new friends. Would you like to give this special little girl dog a loving home? Contact: Our volunteer mediators will contact you quickly, answer questions and send all important information and documents. More about the process: Note: The properties mentioned are based on observations of the animal shelter and may change in a new environment. If the dog is still listed as "Chip xxx", it still needs a name and a vaccination sponsor; possibly a small additional fee will be charged for the deposit. In animal protection, the measure applies that dogs should only be given up spayed or neutered in order to avoid further breeding and thus exacerbating the problem. Therefore, all our dogs, as far as age and health-related, are spayed or neutered. Adoptadog e.V., 63931 Kirchzell - certified organization according to §11 TierSchG.

About Chip

What life with Chip looks like

Chip is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chip, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chip?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chip on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chip if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chip already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chip isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chip and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
