Chipsy Zibbe (female) I Dwarf rabbit I black Age: *2024 born Neutered: Vaccinated: yes In new home: Apartment/outdoor housing: Ideal would be outdoor housing with a secure enclosure. It is not a must, but adequate exercise should be provided in case of indoor housing Compatibility: Incompatible with does It is important to know: Ladies' society does not appreciate Chipsy at all - male society would have to be tested New addition Chipsy - Charming dwarf rabbit is looking for her forever home with male society! The pretty Chipsy is about two years old, fully vaccinated, veterinary checked and ready for a new chapter in her life. Chipsy unfortunately had to leave her old home because she no longer got along with the local rabbit lady. The chemistry just didn't work out among the girls - that sometimes happens with rabbits. The little lady now longs for a loving home by the side of a neutered rabbit man, with whom she can hop through the enclosure together. What Chipsy brings with her: Age: approx. 2 years Old breed: dwarf rabbit Gender: female Health: Vaccinated & veterinary examined Desired home: species-appropriate enclosure (no pure cage keeping) with at least one neutered buck as a companion. Would you like to get to know Chipsy and put a charming partner by your rabbit man's side? Then please contact us! Please contact Heidi Flender. Please note that we have a private life in addition to our commitment to the Hilchenbach animal welfare association and are not available around the clock. Please leave a message or send a WhatsApp. Mrs. Flender will get back to you as soon as possible.

Steckbrief Chipsy Zibbe (weiblich) I Zwergkaninchen I schwarz Alter: *2024 geboren Kastriert: Geimpft: ja Im neuen zu Hause: Wohnung/Außenhaltung: Ideal wäre Außenhaltung mit gesichertem Gehege. About Chipsy

What life with Chipsy looks like

Chipsy is a young adult rabbit waiting at Tierschutzverein Hilchenbach in Hilchenbach.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chipsy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chipsy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Hilchenbach handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chipsy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chipsy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Hilchenbach will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chipsy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chipsy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Hilchenbach early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chipsy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
