Chomper

Belgian Shepherd · Female · Puppy · 2 months

Meet our delightful little affectionate pup, Chomper! Chomper is a 9-week-old Belgian Malinois cross who is wonderfully playful, cuddly and affectionate. She loves spending time with people and is already showing some lovely budding social skills with other dogs. She enjoys play, exploring her world and is an enthusiastic little learner. Chomper is looking for owners with experience of Belgian Malinois or similar working breeds, who understand their needs and are ready to put plenty of time into her training, development and ongoing socialisation. She is an active, intelligent and driven puppy who will need lots of appropriate physical and mental stimulation as she grows. Chomper may be suited to living with children or other animals following suitable introductions and with the right ongoing guidance. Most importantly, she will need a home that can provide plenty of opportunities for training, play, exercise and positive outlets for her energy and enthusiasm. Chomper is already showing many of the traits associated with her breed and is likely to grow into a highly active and motivated adult dog. She is looking for an active owner who will genuinely enjoy engaging with these qualities and can help her channel them positively as she grows. For the right person, Chomper has the potential to be a wonderful companion. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Chomper, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest. tch for the dog in question.

About Chomper

What life with Chomper looks like

Chomper is a large puppy/kitten belgian shepherd dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chomper, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chomper?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chomper on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chomper if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chomper already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chomper isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chomper and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
