adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Chuck has found a home! His story: The little Chuck is an absolute heartbreaker. With his fluffy fur, loyal gaze, and open nature, he immediately wins everyone's heart. He is a friendly and uncomplicated puppy who greets both people and other dogs with openness. He is loving, curious, and wants to discover the world. Of course, he is still at the very beginning of his life and needs to learn everything important – from potty training to walking safely on a leash. With loving upbringing and patience, he will develop into a great family dog. Positive working dog training classes can help – especially during puberty, which the little ones often question everything. Chuck has a beautiful, dense, and fluffy cream and beige coat with a wide white blaze on his face. His dark eyes look attentive and gentle at the same time. Especially striking is his short tail, which gives him a unique, charming look. At 2.5 months old, he is about 20 cm tall and weighs 3 kilograms. He is expected to grow to be small to medium-sized. Chuck is searching for a loving home where he can arrive in peace and be part of the family. He is suitable for individuals, couples, or families who enjoy accompanying a young dog and giving him security and structure. A pre-existing dog is possible but not necessary. Will Chuck soon have a spot on your couch? He travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Due to his young age, he is not yet neutered, but of course, he brings his EU pet passport with him for travel arrangements. After a positive Also, a foster home would be a wonderful first step into a happy dog life for him. Many thanks to Carola! You gave Chuck his name and thus enabled the first step into a new life. Happy Birthday Alexandra! You have been given a monthly sponsorship for Chuck! As of: 21.01.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Carola! About Chuck

What life with Chuck looks like

Chuck is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chuck, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chuck?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chuck on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chuck if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chuck already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chuck isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chuck and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
