Cirino

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Ursprungsland: Hungary Cirino was found homeless on a parking lot in Kecskemét on February 16, 2025. Fortunately, the animal shelter was informed – he was visibly relieved and willingly got into the car. Unfortunately, he was not microchipped, and no one was searching for him. But now he has the chance for a loving home. Cirino has likely seen a lot, as he had a fracture on the front right that went untreated and also has several scars. What exactly happened will remain his secret. Despite everything, Cirino has maintained his wonderful character. He is a friendly, kind, lively, and affectionate four-legged friend. He has recognized how wonderful cuddles and attention from humans can be, which was likely a lack in his previous life, making him very affectionate and in need of making up for lost time. Walking on the leash is already going well, as practice makes the master. Of course, Cirino still needs to learn a few things from the dog ABC, but with loving guidance, he will surely catch up on what he missed, for he is eager to learn and understand. Cirino wants to finally explore the big, wide world and spend many beautiful hours with his people, of course, adjusted to his handicap. He gets along well with his four-legged dog buddies and lives in a mixed pack. For our charming and brave Cirino, we are looking for enthusiastic and loving dog friends and the best home in the world. Cirino deserves the chance to move in as a valued friend to humans and make up for everything he would love to learn: beautiful walks, dog-appropriate exercise, love, security, care, safety, daily cuddles, and 100% family connection. A home where he is cared for and loved and where he can finally enjoy his life worry-free and carefree. Whom will Cirino's heart belong to? Medical Update from March 18, 2025: The X-ray confirmed a several-week-old, distal forearm fracture, partially healed or still healing. No operation is necessary, and bone-strengthening supplements are recommended. On August 6, 2025, a voluntary, Hungarian helper writes: "Cirino came to the animal shelter in February 2025. By now, he has already experienced his first walks and was also on the playground of the animal shelter for the first time. At first, the new environment was still unfamiliar to him, but his curiosity was greater than his insecurity. After a short time, he showed himself to be friendly, lovable, and approachable. He is a gentle, good dog who only needs some time to build trust with strangers, then he is happy to be petted and spoiled. Cirino lives together with several other dogs in the yard and was also on the playground with them. Walking on the leash goes well for him. He is smart, attentive, and well trainable, especially with positive, praising training." On December 8, 2025, a voluntary, Hungarian helper writes: "Cirino came into the care of the animal shelter in February 2025. He was already allowed to go for walks, and we got to know him on the playground of the animal shelter. At the beginning of the year, Cirino was still reserved and mistrustful towards the mentors. After half a year, this mistrust has completely disappeared. Every Saturday, he participates in the mentor program, and we regularly meet him on the mentor playground. Cirino has shown us his true nature. He is an exceptionally friendly, lovable, heart-warming, people-oriented, and child-loving dog. He is gentle, respectful, and gives both people and other dogs space. He avoids conflicts and subtly makes it known that he also wants affection. He is very happy when you engage with him. Then he smiles, shows gratitude, and gives kisses. He is not stormy or jumping but has a calm, balanced temperament. To his dog buddies, with whom he lives together, he has a very good relationship. Together, he stands up for cuddles with the mentors. Walking on the leash, he is well led." Cirino is ready for travel.

DE·Show original

About Cirino

What life with Cirino looks like

Cirino is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cirino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cirino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cirino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cirino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cirino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cirino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cirino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
