Cloe

Husky · Female · Adult · 4 years

Chloe - the beautiful Huskymix female with a wolf-like appearance is looking for a loving home with patient, empathetic people where she can learn to trust again. Cloe is a beautiful, approximately four-year-old Huskymix female and one of the new arrivals in Miskolc. She grew up with a family and reacted very stressed to the newborn child after her. Unfortunately, we do not know how her previous owners reacted to the stress of their dog. As Cloe initially presented herself in the animal shelter, it is to be feared that rather with severity, suppression and, in the worst case, violence, attempts were made to influence the dog's stress level. Cloe was initially extremely intimidated, suspicious and kept a distance from all bipeds. This has already changed significantly: people who approach her friendly, restrained and understanding, Cloe approaches cautiously, but interested and also enjoys small caresses. Cloe has already built a bond with her walker Anna Andrea and trusts her. Due to her previous experiences, we wish for Cloe a quiet, childless home with patient, empathetic people. Dog experience or the willingness to deal intensively with the needs of such a dog (and a breed) should definitely be present in Cloe's new family. Her new people should not demand anything from Cloe initially - and indefinitely - but let her come and make her steps towards more trust in peace and at her own pace. Such shy dogs often open up surprisingly quickly (and surprisingly far); sometimes the person needs a lot of patience and the ability to put the own wishes for the human-dog relationship in the background first. In any case, it is a wonderful experience to enable such a reserved dog a whole new life - a life in safety and security, with family connection, in which the dog itself decides when and how intensively it responds to the offers of the bipeds. Have you fallen in love with Cloe and think you can make her a happy, relaxed dog? Then please contact us. Please read on our homepage before contacting the placement process and around the topic "dog". We have developed extensive information materials for all areas. Please note the "self-disclosure" field below and send us this filled out first. Afterwards, Cloe's mediator will also be happy to contact you by phone. Like all our dogs, Cloe travels with an EU pet passport and Traces papers. She is then castrated, fully vaccinated, freshly dewormed, treated with a spot-on against ectoparasites, tested for Giardia and possibly freshly treated, with a blood test with organ values and tests for the diseases that occur in Hungary. In addition, all dogs travel with a suitable safety harness and with a GPS tracker including 1 year premium subscription. Click on the "self-disclosure" link so that the PDF file opens. Depending on the browser, the file opens directly on the screen or must be clicked again at the bottom of the screen after it has been downloaded. You can fill in the fields of the file without additional programs and then click with the right mouse button in the document and select the option "save as" or "save as". Please select the storage location, e.g. the "Desktop" of your computer. The file name "Selbstauskunft_Canifair_" is provided. Please add your family name after the last "_" so that we can better assign the file. Please remember to enter the dog's name in the first field at the top. If you now send an email to the mediator mentioned in the ad, please attach the saved self-disclosure. This gives us a first impression and facilitates and accelerates the initial contact. Your data will not be passed on to third parties and will only be used in the context of a dog inquiry or the requested adoption.

About Cloe

What life with Cloe looks like

Cloe is a adult husky dog waiting at Canifair e.V. in Kaarst.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cloe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cloe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Canifair e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cloe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cloe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Canifair e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cloe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cloe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Canifair e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cloe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
