Clover

German Spitz · Female · Puppy · 9 months

Clover is around 9 months old and just one of a group of Spitz’s that we took into our care. She lacks life experience and is looking for a family who will take joy in each small step of progress she makes. Clover will likely be happy being left home alone for a few hours as she’s not used to humans being around all the time. Other aspects of home life like car travel and housetraining will need to be introduced. Clover has already come on in leaps and bounds and can’t wait to make her next steps with the support of a loving family. Clover is a sweet girl who hasn’t had the best start to life. She is getting braver by the day and learning more about the world, but is looking for a family who can help her continue with this one step at a time. She can live with sensible secondary aged children and has the potential to live with cats, pending a successful scent swap and gradual introductions. Clover could be rehomed with her kennel friend Buttercup who is the same age, breed and temperament but this isn't essential.

About Clover

What life with Clover looks like

Clover is a small puppy/kitten german spitz dog waiting at Dogs Trust Evesham in Evesham.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Clover, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Clover?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Evesham handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Clover on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Clover if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Evesham will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Clover already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Clover isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Evesham early rather than rehoming privately; they know Clover and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
