Clyde

Female · Young · 1 year

Bonny and Clyde are two beautiful wild-colored sisters, born in 2025. They are small ferrets, both around 600 grams, and are spayed. These girls are real explorers and love to dig in everything. They enjoy playing and have a favorite squeaky toy mouse. They love a cuddle from time to time. When they have slept apart, it is clear that they have missed each other, because then they have a cute "cuddle ritual" with each other. Therefore, they are of course also placed together. These sisters have really been unlucky. At the breeder, they only received raw meat, so they do not know and do not want to eat pellets. In the shelter, they have puzzled to get them to eat well. In the meantime, this has been successful and their bellies are nice and round, one of the two girls can even lose a few grams again! Bonny and Clyde are two feisty ladies, they are looking for a parent who already has experience with ferrets and knows the ferret language. They are easy to pick up and they like attention! The girls now eat a mash from the blender, consisting of "Buddy meat sausage" (duck meat) and chicken broth, two to three times a day. They also like salmon oil and cooked fish. A little experimenting with more food types can certainly not hurt. We are looking for the needle in the haystack that can give Bonny and Clyde the attention and love they deserve! About Clyde

What life with Clyde looks like

Clyde is a small young adult animal waiting at Frettig Gestoord in Netherlands.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Clyde far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Clyde, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Clyde?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Frettig Gestoord handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Clyde on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Clyde if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Frettig Gestoord will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Clyde already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Clyde isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Frettig Gestoord early rather than rehoming privately; they know Clyde and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
