Coletta

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Coletta, born November 26, 2022, and approximately 53 cm tall, is a friendly, very loving female dog who longs for the closeness of her humans. She enjoys human contact, cherishes attention, and loves being petted. With her gentle and affectionate nature, she quickly wins people's hearts. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the company of her fellow canines. The beautiful dog has her whole life ahead of her and hopes for people who will approach her with patience and understanding. As with many shelter dogs, we cannot say what Coletta has experienced so far. Therefore, her new family should be willing to teach her everything in peace that belongs to a happy dog life. This can include everyday noises, living in the house, walking on a leash, or relaxing alone.Coletta brings the best prerequisites to develop into a loyal companion. With loving guidance, sufficient time to settle in, and many beautiful shared experiences, she will surely find her way in her new life.We wish Coletta people who give her a loving home and show her how beautiful a sheltered dog life can be. Whoever gives the sympathetic dog a chance wins a wonderful friend by his side.Coletta is spayed and will be vaccinated, chipped, and placed with a protection contract through Vierbeiner in Not e.V. after a positive preliminary check. General note on our protégés: Our dogs in Romania are regularly visited so that we can reassess their behavior and development. These personal impressions help us very much to convey a good picture of each individual dog. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that a dog in a new environment - with new people, new routines, and new impressions - can also behave differently. This is quite normal and is part of every change process. Many dogs even open up faster at home and show sides that were not visible in the shelter. Our assessments are therefore based on current observations, but are not a guarantee for every behavior in the new environment. They should provide orientation and show how the dog presents himself in the shelter - and what potential he has.We are convinced: With patience, understanding, and a loving environment, every dog can find his way and develop positively.

About Coletta

What life with Coletta looks like

Coletta is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coletta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coletta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coletta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coletta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Coletta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coletta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coletta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
