Cora

Cane Corso · Female · Puppy · 3 months

01-08-26 Cora is an amazing puppy who has come to us with her siblings following an accidental litter. She is a happy, confident girl who is full of fun and has a wonderful zest for life. Cora is already a big girl for her age, and we believe she is a Cane Corso Cross, so her adopters will need to be prepared for her to grow into a large adult dog. Cora is a friendly and affectionate pup who is looking for a loving home where she can continue to learn and explore the world. She has started learning about walking on a harness, and would like to continue this, out and about, once she is fully vaccinated and settled into her new home, she will love getting out and about on plenty of adventures with her family. Cora could live with older, dog-savvy children, aged 13+ who understand that she is a large, boisterous puppy and will need help learning her manners as she grows. She could happily live with another friendly dog who doesn't mind sharing their home with a playful youngster, or she could be an only dog, providing her new family have plenty of time to dedicate to her training, socialisation, and exercise. As with all puppies, Cora will need continued guidance with house training, lead walking, and all the basics of family life. Her adopters must be committed to taking her to puppy socialisation and training classes to help her develop into a confident, well-mannered adult and agree to have her spayed when she is of age. Cora is a truly lovely girl with so much potential. She is looking for a family who will give her the love, time, and commitment she deserves, and in return she is sure to become a wonderful and loyal companion. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Cora

What life with Cora looks like

Cora is a large puppy/kitten cane corso dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
