Age: Approximately 1.5-2 years Old Location: Romania 💕 Cora is waiting for her family 🐶💛 When Cora was rescued from a field, she was very quiet 🌾. No fear, no resistance – just a small soul quietly hoping to be seen 💔. We don't know what she experienced before, but it's clear that she carries a lot within her. Cora is a quiet, gentle female dog with a delicate nature ✨. She meets people with full trust 🤗 and gets along wonderfully with other dogs 🐕. Even cats 🐈 are no problem for her. Her balanced nature offers closeness without pushing, making her a faithful companion for quiet moments 🌸. Cora does not seek a loud life. She is looking for a home 🏡 where she can arrive, find safety, warmth, and love ❤️. Whoever gives her their heart will receive a quiet lifelong friend 🐾💞. Cora is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, neutered, and has been checked by a veterinarian, and is in possession of an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official trace papers and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases via a rapid test. The adoption fee is 500€ plus 30€ for the purchase of safety gear. Note: When we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we base our decision solely on their outward appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This assignment is made with the best of knowledge and conscience of the club and the involved veterinarians. However, these descriptions do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), as their reliable determination would only be possible through a DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of each animal is based on careful observations by animal welfare workers on site or by the respective foster facilities. It should be noted that these assessments are based solely on the current local conditions in the intake stations or foster facilities.

About Cora

What life with Cora looks like

Cora is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
