Corson

Male · Young · 3 years

Native Country: Hungary The lovable Corson arrived at the animal shelter on March 12, 2025, as a found dog. He was alone in Kecskemét. Whether he was abandoned or ran away from home, we unfortunately do not know. During the microchip check, no one was found, and no one reported this wonderful dog as missing. As always, it's unclear to us, but so Corson got this name, which he received at the shelter, a chance at a life with people who will love, value, and respect him, showing him how beautiful life can be. (His left ear tip is missing.) Corson is a sweet, friendly, and contact-seeking four-legged friend who can sometimes be a bit stormy out of sheer mischief, he just loves getting attention and affection. His temperament and willingness to learn must now be guided with love but consistency, so that he can continue to develop into a wonderful companion. On the leash, he already runs well, but he is still trainable. He will also quickly learn the rest of the dog ABC if he is lovingly guided, because he wants to learn and please his people. Corson enjoys dog-appropriate mental stimulation, as long as he has a good time with lots of fun and his people. Corson would definitely make a great companion for jogging, hiking, cycling, or similar activities. He gets along well with his fellow animals and is always with different dogs at the playground. Corson lives with Merrill in a home for dog lovers. On April 17, 2025, a volunteer, Hungarian helper writes: "On the mentor day, we were able to meet Corson at the protected playground. He is a people-oriented, child-loving, sweet, and friendly dog. Young, active, agile, and playful. He enjoyed the attention of the mentors, the cuddles, and the pampering. He explored the playground. He lives with several other dogs, so he can get used to another, existing dog. He can walk on the leash." For our wonderful Corson, we are looking for adventure-loving, sporty, and dog-experienced people who will guide Corson through his life with patience but clear rules, challenge him mentally and physically, give him lots of love, care, and security, pamper him with many cuddles, give him the necessary peace to relax and unwind, and make Corson feel welcome forever in their family. Who will enter a lifelong human-dog partnership with Corson? Since Corson is a list mix, you need to inform yourself about the housing conditions in your community if you are interested. Corson is ready to travel. Many thanks to dear Jeseeray Szczesniak for taking over the sponsorship of Corson.

About Corson

What life with Corson looks like

Corson is a young adult dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Corson, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Corson?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Corson on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Corson if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Corson already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Corson isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Corson and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
