Croissant

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Female Β· Senior Β· 13 years

Hello fine friends, I am the delicious Croissant! I was bought in to branch care over a year ago as my owner was unable to look after me anymore. I haven't had the best start in life, so people are quite scary for me. When approached I tend to hide or freeze and sometimes I shake, but I am a very gentle lady and never bite or scratch, however I have on occasion hissed, but its all talk. I will need a quite, calm, patient home where I can be shown the kindness of people and learn to trust again. I have been in foster for a while and I love my fosterers husband, so I will definitely be a daddy's girl. A single male, no children and no other pets may suit me best! I haven't been around dogs or children so I am not sure how I will get on, but with how timid I can be it may be best if I'm on my own! I prefer people to be on my level, I don't like people standing over me, its scary and intimidating, but lay on the floor and I love a fuss! I am vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, negative for FIV/FeLV, up to date with flea and worming. I am on long term medication for my hyperthyroid and I am on pain relief and anti inflammatory for my back pain, I'm an older lady ya know! My new family will need to keep me on these medications and have my bloods checked regularly. Otherwise I'm in good health! If you have space in you life for an older lady who needs a little extra TLC please fill out an enquiry form today!

About Croissant

What life with Croissant looks like

Croissant is a senior mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Norwich in United Kingdom.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues β€” keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Croissant, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Croissant?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Norwich handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Croissant on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Croissant if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Norwich will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Croissant already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Croissant isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Norwich early rather than rehoming privately; they know Croissant and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
