Cruz

Male · Puppy

Cruz, Charli, Carlo and their sisters Chispa and Callie make up a lovely mix of very sweet and social puppies who are currently staying with us. We expect that they still have some growing to do and will become medium to large dogs. As tiny puppies, they were thankfully spotted in time, picked up off the street and brought to us without carrying any heavy baggage or trauma. Cruz is a handsome, beige little fellow with a heart of gold toward people and fellow dogs, and he will surely grow into an indispensable friend of the house. We already hope this buddy can soon move to his forever home, because these puppies are growing so incredibly fast and in the meantime are missing out on precious time to learn things and imprint them for life. Who would like to walk an adventurous path together with Cruz and enjoy a wonderful time, with give and take? Cruz and we would be very grateful to you, because every little life deserves to be happy, right?

NL·Show original

About Cruz

What life with Cruz looks like

Cruz is a small puppy dog waiting at ACE / SHIN (Animal Care Espana) in Spain.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cruz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cruz?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ACE / SHIN (Animal Care Espana) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cruz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cruz if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ACE / SHIN (Animal Care Espana) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Cruz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cruz isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ACE / SHIN (Animal Care Espana) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cruz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
