Adopt Cseresznye

Female · Adult · 5 years

Origin Country: Hungary The wunderhübsche Cseresznye was found wandering alone on a main street in the community of Lajosmizse on October 15, 2025. We unfortunately do not know why she was traveling alone or why she became homeless. She was not microchipped, and no owner has claimed her. Another wonderful list dog among so many that are almost hopeless in the shelter, but Cseresznye still hopes to be discovered by loving people and allowed to leave the animal shelter soon. Cseresznye, which means cherry in Hungarian, is a loving, friendly, agile, and affectionate four-legged friend. A great female dog that wants to explore and discover the world. Cseresznye is very attached to people and loves it when they give her attention and affection, which is almost impossible for many dogs in the animal shelter. She looks forward to when her new people will lovingly teach her the basics of dog training and continue to challenge and encourage her. She would certainly make a great companion for jogging, hiking, cycling, or similar activities, as long as both human and dog have a good time and plenty of fun together. Cseresznye does not get along with her fellow animals and is looking for a home where she will receive all the attention. For our wonderful Cseresznye, we are searching for loving and adventure-loving dog friends who love, value, and can handle the nature and character of these dogs. Great two-leggeds who can properly tire Cseresznye out, give her a secure home, with lots of cuddles, extended and varied walks, sports activities, clear leadership, and of course full family integration. On February 16, 2026, a voluntary, Hungarian helper wrote: "Cseresznye came into the care of the animal shelter in October 2025. In February 2026, she was allowed to go on a walk with her mentor on a mentor day. Cseresznye is a loving, sweet, and friendly female dog. She is people-oriented, likes cuddles and affection. She longs for love, is cuddly, and wants to be liked. On the leash, she walked beautifully and explored her surroundings curiously and interestedly during the walk. Exercise, walks, and new impressions were very good for her. She is an active, lively, and attentive dog. During the walk, she constantly asked for cuddles and affection." Who shows Ceresznye how wonderful life can be? Unfortunately, Ceresznye is heartworm positive, and the slow-kill therapy has been started. She also has some old scars on her leg. Since Cseresznye is a staff mix, you must check with your local housing conditions regarding ownership requirements if you are interested in her. Cseresznye is ready for travel.

About Cseresznye

What life with Cseresznye looks like

Cseresznye is a adult dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cseresznye, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cseresznye?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cseresznye on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cseresznye if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cseresznye already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cseresznye isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cseresznye and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
