Adopt Csini

Domestic Shorthair · Female · 2 years

February 20, 2026. Colony cat from the 11th district Csini is a beautiful calico (torbie) girl who came to us from the colony. True to her name, Csini is truly an ornamental beauty, but because of her past, she is a bit shy and cautious. Although she likes and needs petting, she has not yet fully opened up to us, so we need to work for her trust. We are looking for a patient, loving and calm owner who understands her sensitive soul and does not rush the process of opening up. Csini gets along well with other cats, enjoys their company, so a confident cat companion could greatly help her with socialization and feeling at home sooner. From a health perspective, she is completely healthy, her FIV-FeLV-FIP tests are negative. Important! If I have taken your fancy, please only apply as an adopter if you are willing to commit to me for life and are a responsible pet owner, where the cat is not a garden decoration but a family member. Are you willing to take me with you as another family member, when moving (whether abroad, from a garden to an apartment, or to another rental), and ensure that if anything happens to you, I will still have a place and above all be safe.

About Csini

What life with Csini looks like

Csini is a small adult domestic shorthair dog waiting at Rex Kutyaotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Needs patient owner for socialization, former feral cat requiring trust-building

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Csini, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Csini?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rex Kutyaotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Csini on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Csini if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rex Kutyaotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Csini already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Csini isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rex Kutyaotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Csini and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
