Curazao hasn't had much luck in life and urgently needs a change. He was born in a chalet where several cats snuck in during a summer vacation, and he arrived at our animal shelter with just five months old. Today, he is already two years old. From the start, he has been a friendly, affectionate, and very sociable cat with other cats, but sadly, also an invisible one. Curazao didn't win the genetic lottery: from a young age, he has had some health issues. Currently, he lives with chronic rhinitis and a few other minor problems. He has already been hospitalized for several months because we couldn't get him to improve enough to return to the cattery. And although we tried everything, we believe the underlying cause is more profound: loneliness is dimming his light. Curazao needs company. He loves being with people and other cats. At the animal shelter, many days he only eats if someone is with him. His mood affects his defenses, and his defenses affect his recovery. It's a cycle that we can only break if someone gives him the chance to be in a home. That's why we urgently seek foster care or adoption. Someone who can care for him, keep him in a quiet environment, ideally without other cats or with temporary separation, and give him the affection and care he so desperately needs, even if it's just for a few months. Curazao is eagerly waiting. And so are we. Because we know that with love, company, and a little stability, this invisible cat can finally start shining. He is already neutered and vaccinated. Curazao no ha tenido demasiada suerte en la vida y necesita urgentemente un cambio. Nació en un chalet donde varios gatos se colaron durante unas vacaciones de verano, y llegó a nuestro albergue con solo cinco mesecitos. Hoy tiene ya dos años. Desde el principio ha sido un gato simpático, cariñoso y muy sociable con otros gatos pero también, tristemente, un invisible. Curazao no ganó la lotería genética: desde pequeño ha tenido algunos problemas de salud. Actualmente convive con rinitis crónica y algunos otros problemas menores. Lleva ya varios meses hospitalizado porque no conseguimos que remonte lo suficiente como para volver a las gateras. Y aunque lo intentamos todo, creemos que la causa de fondo es más profunda: la soledad le está apagando. Curazao necesita compañía. Le encanta estar con personas y con otros gatos. En el albergue, muchos días solo come si alguien está con él mientras tanto. Su estado de ánimo afecta a sus defensas, y sus defensas afectan a su recuperación. Es un círculo que solo podemos romper si alguien le da la oportunidad de estar en un hogar. Por eso, buscamos con urgencia una acogida o adopción. Alguien que pueda cuidarle, tenerle en un ambiente tranquilo, idealmente sin otros gatos o con separación temporal, y darle el cariño y los cuidados que tanto necesita, incluso si es solo unos meses. Curazao lo está deseando. Y nosotros también. Porque sabemos que con amor, compañía y un poco de estabilidad, este gato invisible puede por fin empezar a brillar. Ya está castrado y vacunado.
