Adopt Curro

Male · Puppy · 6 months

Today, with great sadness, we present Curro, born in October 2010. This senior has lived his entire life in a home with his companion NULA. Both were very beloved by their owner, but life and time pass, and their owner had to be admitted to a residence. No one in their family has been able to take care of them. Curro has lived his entire life in a home with his lifelong companion NULA, who were very beloved. For them, their home was their entire world. Today, their world has been shattered as they find themselves outside their home, more so at their age and with an approaching winter. Their owner has been admitted to a residence, and their family could not take care of them, so they have become part of our animal shelter. Curro is a small mixed breed. He is a senior dog who has lived his entire life in a home, so he knows the dynamics of living in one. He knows how to walk on a leash and is calm. Curro is in perfect health. He comes with a microchip, a passport, up-to-date vaccinations, a negative Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, and Leishmaniasis disease test. Additionally, he is neutered.

About Curro

What life with Curro looks like

Curro is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at El Refugio Escuela Marlene in Seville.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Curro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Curro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. El Refugio Escuela Marlene handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Curro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Curro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — El Refugio Escuela Marlene will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Curro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Curro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with El Refugio Escuela Marlene early rather than rehoming privately; they know Curro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
