CVILI

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 12 years

Sweet CVILI came to the shelter scared and without trust in people. He slowly relaxed and is now the happiest in the company of our people. He loves long walks where he can relax peacefully away from the shelter and his stress. Cvilij is very affected by stress and the routine in the shelter. He requires time and attention, which unfortunately he does not get as much as needed because of other dogs. In our opinion, he is not compatible with other dogs, although this can change outside the shelter. CVILI is an insecure and worried dog who will need time at first to relax. He would feel comfortable in a calmer environment. Children should be at least 12 years old and familiar with Cvilij. He is an excellent companion for adults and children, suitable for single people, couples or families with children. Since CVILI has not yet been able to experience life outside the shelter, he will need a puppy class or socialization course. When CVILI gains confidence, he will show willingness to learn and do everything properly. CVILI has mastered walking on a leash. CVILI was born in 2021 and is 50cm tall. Would you like to make Cvilij happy and show him the good side of dog life, the one beyond our shelter? We sincerely hope that this sweetie will soon find love and security with his people. HR·Show original

Slatki Cvili došao u sklonište prestrašen i bez vjere u ljude. About CVILI

What life with CVILI looks like

CVILI is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Udruga Spas Varaždin in Varaždin.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇭🇷Adopting from Croatia

Croatian shelters include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID in the adoption process. Several work with Italian and German rescue networks for placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting CVILI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about CVILI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Udruga Spas Varaždin handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw CVILI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt CVILI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Udruga Spas Varaždin will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is CVILI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if CVILI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Udruga Spas Varaždin early rather than rehoming privately; they know CVILI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
