Adopt Czoko

Mixed Breed · Male

Czoko has been under our care since the end of August 2020. He was rescued along with several other dogs. All were cornered, afraid of people. Czoko arrived in a terrible condition. Thin, bald on his muzzle... Scars on his body from bites - many!!!! At first he was very distrustful. Thanks to hard work Czoko now enjoys seeing people, he knows he will go for a walk which he really likes. He gets along with other dogs, so in a potential home it would be nice if he had a dog companion to follow. Czoko has always been with other dogs and that gives him courage. He was born at the beginning of 2020. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. We are looking for a home ready for work. This is a dog who has gone through a lot - he lived in his own feces, never went outside, so he needs time and patience and in a home he will surely open up more easily. Since being under our care - he has regular food, learned to walk on a leash, allows petting, gives kisses and even offers his paw. That Czoko is a dog who needs time does not mean he will not love and repay the people who give him a wonderful home.

Wykastrowany, zaszczepiony, zaczipowany. KASIA 507 237 447 OLA 533 564 074

About Czoko

What life with Czoko looks like

Czoko is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Czoko, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Czoko?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Czoko on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Czoko if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Czoko already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Czoko isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Czoko and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
