Dadda

Female · Puppy · 6 months

Dadda is a happy, lively and social Rottweiler mix, 4 months old! As the playful little puppy he is, he loves to play, run around, tease his dog friends and cuddle with his humans. He is curious about life and enjoys exploring new environments and things. The forest is a favorite, where he likes to wander and investigate all the exciting things found among blueberry bushes and trails. Dadda is still very young and has a lot to learn, but he has all the right conditions to become a fantastic companion with the right guidance. He is now longing for his very own home and a family to grow up with! As the puppy Dadda is, he will require a lot of time, patience and commitment from his new owner. He needs continued training with socialization, environmental training, leash training and housebreaking, while he needs to discover the world at his own pace. When the puppy time is over, unpuppy time will come, and Dadda will surely want to test the limits and challenge his family in different ways. His new owner therefore needs to be prepared for the work with him to be long-term and that the training needs to continue even when the sweet puppy time is over. When Dadda grows up, he will become a large and powerful dog, which requires both responsibility, safety thinking and a willingness to put in the time needed to create a safe and well-functioning dog. We are looking for someone who has experience with puppy time and who can give him the best conditions to grow up into a secure and stable dog. It is a big plus if his new owner has previous experience with Rottweilers or other larger working breeds and knows what it means to live with a dog that both becomes large and needs clear guidance. Dadda needs a family with a stable and active lifestyle where there is plenty of time for him, both now during puppy time and later. His new owner needs to think that training and development is a fun part of dog ownership and be willing to put time into him even when he starts testing the limits. Above all, we are looking for a safe, loving and responsible home where Dadda can be a natural part of the family and where you want to follow him throughout his life. Answer the questions below to get an indication of how your daily life and plans match a dog's needs. This will help both you and us to find the right match and give the dog a safe home. You need to do the test before you can submit your interest form. The price is between 2,500 -10,000 SEK, depending mainly on the age of the dog. A deposit for a "booked" dog is charged at a cost of 2,000 SEK. About Dadda

What life with Dadda looks like

Dadda is a large puppy/kitten dog waiting at Hundstallet in Stockholm.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dadda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dadda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundstallet handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dadda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dadda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundstallet will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dadda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dadda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundstallet early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dadda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
