Adopt Daggi

Mixed Breed · Male

Daggi was found on the street Pri bitúnku in Košice. Daggi is a big bulldog, who has earned the title of Dog of the Year from us! At first glance, his appearance may inspire respect, but his temperament is friendly and kind. Daggi is an active and strong dog who needs consistent training and a responsible person. His heart longs for attention, activities, and the joy of movement. When you speak to him, he tilts his head sideways as if really listening to you. On a leash, he pulls with full strength - and therefore has plenty to give! Daggi loves toys, balls and sticks, but is happiest playing with people. He can't stay in one place for long and would always be playing or running around. His active nature makes him an ideal buddy for trips into nature, swimming in streams or playing around with the family. He is suitable for active and responsible people, for whom he will be a family member, not a trendy accessory to boost ego. Daggi was given a chance for a new life and we will do everything to make sure he has only good things ahead. Gets along well with dogs and female dogs. Has good hygiene habits with regular walks, and handling him is trouble-free.

So psami a fenkami vychádza bez problémov.

About Daggi

What life with Daggi looks like

Daggi is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at ÚVP Košice in Slovakia.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇰Adopting from Slovakia

Slovak rescue groups coordinate cross-border transport with European partners. Animals are chipped and vaccinated; sterilization is often included for adults and arranged post-adoption for puppies/kittens.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daggi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daggi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ÚVP Košice handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daggi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daggi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ÚVP Košice will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daggi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daggi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ÚVP Košice early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daggi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
