Daisy

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Date of birth: 03.09.2025 EU pet passport: vaccinated, microchipped Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: no Daisy was rescued together with Dori. Her life until now was hard and full of deprivation: she was tied to a chain, with no protective shelter, often without water and food. Now and then she received a little dry bread – that was about all she was allowed. How unimaginable it must have been for Daisy to suddenly be allowed to run without a chain, to have water at any time, and to be fed regularly! Things that are a matter of course for us were a small miracle for her. And the change? You can see it in the photos! It is wonderful to see how a dog blossoms once it is finally cared for and allowed to feel safe. For Daisy, we wish for a calm, loving home where she can settle in at her own pace. People who give her security and patience will help her continue to build trust and leave her past behind. Now we wish for Daisy people who will show her that life still holds many beautiful sides. A loving home where she never has to go without again and can simply be a dog. Daisy has so much to catch up on – who will give her the chance at a happy life? Almost all of our dogs are extremely friendly toward people, dogs, and cats in Romania. Nevertheless, please keep in mind that all dogs need to be trained and integrated into the family routine in their new home. If you would like to give Daisy a home, please call the following telephone number: In a personal conversation, we can answer your questions and discuss our adoption criteria. Our dogs are preferably placed within a radius of 80 km around Tholey.

About Daisy

What life with Daisy looks like

Daisy is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at TierOase ThoMa e.V. in Germany.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. TierOase ThoMa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — TierOase ThoMa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Daisy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with TierOase ThoMa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
