Daisy

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Daisy - the gentle soul is looking for people with patience and heart 🏡❤️ Approx. 3 years old (as of 05.10.2026) | friendly, lively, playful like a puppy Daisy has lived in the Lancram killing for a long time 😢 In September 2026 she was finally rescued 🌈 But time there has left its mark: The gentle dog has unfortunately lost trust in people 💔 Daisy spends most of the day hiding in her hut or sitting in a corner of the kennel 🏚️ She doesn't cope well with the loud everyday life in the shelter 🔊😟 Currently she is still very anxious and reserved 🥺 Touching is currently hardly possible 🤲 And yet there are already small glimmers of hope ✨ Although Daisy has only been with us in the shelter for a short time, the first small progress is already visible 🌱 She already takes treats carefully from her hand 🦴 and gets along well with other dogs 🐕🐕 We are looking for people with a lot of dog experience 🐾 and a lot of patience ⏳💕 With the time she needs, she will regain trust 🤝💖 Who will give Daisy patience, security and a home forever? 🏠❤️🐩 Daisy is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, not yet neutered and veterinary checked and in possession of an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Paragraph 11 permit to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for rapid testing of Mediterranean diseases. The deposit is € 520 plus € 30 for the purchase of the safety harness. Note: If we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we orient ourselves exclusively on the external appearance as well as the observable behavior (phenotype). This applies: This assignment is made according to the best knowledge and conscience of the association as well as the participating veterinarians. However, these details do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), because their reliable determination would only be possible through a DNA analysis. In addition, the behavioral and character description of the respective animal is based on careful observations by the animal protectors on site or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments relate exclusively to the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. It is important to understand that the fur nose will change after a successful

About Daisy

What life with Daisy looks like

Daisy is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Daisy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
