Daisy

Mixed Breed · Female

Beautiful Daisy is looking for a loving forever home where she can enjoy the attention and care she deserves. Daisy came into our care after being left alone for long periods and not getting the exercise or stimulation a young dog needs. Despite this, she is a lovely little girl with a gentle nature who is ready to start the next chapter of her life. She has settled well into foster care and is used to being left for a few hours at a time without any problems. Daisy travels well in the car, has always been good at the vets and groomers, and is in good health. Like many young dogs, Daisy has a few quirks. She can be a little nervous when meeting new people and may sometimes urinate when she’s feeling overwhelmed, but once she’s had a proper introduction she soon relaxes and shows her affectionate side. She’s also a little fussy with her food and doesn’t like going upstairs. Daisy has lived happily with children aged 3 to 11 years and has also lived with cats. She has never shown any aggression or bitten. When Daisy first arrived she wasn’t fully housetrained, but she has made great progress in foster care. She is now housetrained, although she doesn’t yet let you know when she needs to go outside, so she’ll need a family who can keep her in a regular routine. We believe Daisy would really benefit from a home with another friendly, confident dog to help her continue building her confidence and show her the ropes. She’ll need patient adopters who understand she’s still a young dog with lots to learn, but she’ll reward them with plenty of love and companionship. If you think you could offer Daisy the safe, happy, home she’s been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you. About Daisy

What life with Daisy looks like

Daisy is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Warrington Animal Welfare in Warrington.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Warrington Animal Welfare handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Warrington Animal Welfare will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daisy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Warrington Animal Welfare early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
