DAKOTA &#038

Dakota & Diamond - Outdoor cats: EHK / red tabby Updated: August 3, 2026 The two kittens Dakota and Diamond come from a large cat population and were brought to the animal shelter where they were lovingly cared for and raised. Their friends Diego, Dreamy, Dyra and Dylana will soon be moving to their new homes. Dakota and Diamond are the last two from this group. Kitten adoptions are only made in pairs. They are outdoor cats, which is why a rural residential area without main roads, rail tracks, etc. is a requirement. The two female kittens Dyra and Dylana will soon be moving to their new home together. All cats later need their freedom in a green, low-traffic environment and without direct main roads / rail tracks nearby. In their new home, there must be plenty of time and understanding for young cats. Please let us know your interest in an animal by email and attach the completed questionnaire for the respective animal species. You can find the questionnaire >>> HERE. About DAKOTA &#038

What life with DAKOTA &#038 looks like

DAKOTA &#038 is a medium-sized puppy/kitten cat waiting at Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs in Zug (Allenwinden & Neuheim).

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting DAKOTA &#038, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about DAKOTA &#038?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw DAKOTA &#038 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt DAKOTA &#038 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is DAKOTA &#038 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if DAKOTA &#038 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs early rather than rehoming privately; they know DAKOTA &#038 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
