Darla, a beautiful and friendly dog, was surrendered to Odai Animal Shelter in July along with her four puppies. The reason given was that the owner had to leave Romania and could not take the little family with him. Fortunately, Ilinca from the Dogs without Borders Romania association found a private foster home in Bucharest. This saved Darla and her four little ones from the stay at the shelter, which can be life-threatening for small and young dogs. What the man who left them here to their fate did not know: The family was already known to the volunteers of the association. Darla had been spotted several times in the center of Bucharest, wandering the streets and searching for food in the trash. A neighbor confirmed that the owner had simply left Darla alone on the street without supervision. The fact that little Darla survived these dangerous excursions shows that she is not only a small survivor, but also certainly had great luck and a watchful guardian angel. So terrible as it may seem at first that Darla was surrendered to the shelter, for her it is the chance for a life in safety with loving people who want the best for her. During the veterinary examination, Darla, the brave mother, first made sure that no one came close to her children. But she quickly realized that no one was evil here and let herself and her children be touched and examined everywhere willingly. Even in the foster home, she showed her friendly and people-oriented nature from the start. She loves to be close to her foster mother. She is a dog that adapts quickly and willingly to a new life and is therefore more than ready to move into her forever home. If you have a place by your side and want to go through life with Darla, you should find out quickly whether you would be a good team. It is important for Darla that you have time for her. Because she was alone for a long time. Die hübsche und freundliche Darla wurde im Juli zusammen mit ihren vier Welpen von einem Mann im Tierheim Odai abgegeben mit der Begründung, er müsse Rumänien verlassen und könne die kleine Familie leider nicht mitnehmen. Ilinca vom Verein Dogs without Borders Romania fand zum Glück eine private Pflegestelle in Bukarest. So blieb Mama Darla und den vier Minimäusen der Aufenthalt im Tierheim erspart, der für kleine und junge Hunde lebensgefährlich sein kann. Was der Mann, der sie hier ihrem Schicksal überließ, nicht wusste: Die Familie war den Freiwilligen des Vereins schon bekannt. Darla wurde schon Monate zuvor immer wieder im Zentrum von Bukarest gesichtet, wie sie auf der Straße umherirrte und im Müll nach Futter suchte. Eine Nachbarin bestätigte, dass der Besitzer Darla einfach unbeaufsichtigt allein auf die Straße ließ. Dass die kleine Darla diese gefährlichen Ausflüge überlebt hat, zeigt, dass sie nicht nur eine kleine Überlebenskünstlerin ist, sondern ganz sicher auch großes Glück und einen wachsamen Schutzengel hatte. So schrecklich es also im ersten Moment erscheint, dass Darla im Tierheim abgegeben wurde, für sie ist es die Chance auf ein Leben in Sicherheit bei liebevollen Menschen, die ihr Bestes wollen. Bei der tierärztlichen Untersuchung hat Darla als mutige Mama erst mal gut aufgepasst, dass niemand ihren Kindern nahekommt. Doch schnell hat sie gemerkt, dass hier niemand Böses will und sie ließ sich und ihre Kinder bereitwillig überall anfassen und untersuchen. Auch auf der Pflegestelle hat sie ihr freundliches und menschenbezogenes Wesen von Anfang an gezeigt. Sie liebt es, in der Nähe ihrer Pflegemama zu sein. Sie ist eine Hündin, die sich schnell und bereitwillig an ein neues Leben anpasst und deshalb mehr als bereit ist, in ihr Für-Immer-Zuhause einzuziehen. Wenn du ein Plätzchen an deiner Seite frei hast und mit Darla an deiner Seite durchs Leben gehen willst, dann solltest du schnell herausfinden, ob ihr ein gutes Team wärt. Wichtig für Darla ist, dass du Zeit für sie hast. Denn allein auf sich gestellt war sie lange genug. Wenn du Freude daran hast, Darla noch vieles zu zeigen und mit ihr zu üben, zum Beispiel wie man an der Leine läuft, wo man Pipi macht, wie weich dein Sofa ist und wo man mit den Hundefreunden spielen kann und vieles, vieles mehr, dann ruf am besten direkt ihre Vermittlerin an.
