Demon

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 10 years

Demon is an energetic, a bit cheeky, but mature dog. He has great confidence. He is not aggressive, but he has his own rules and boundaries. He won't let himself be pushed around and needs to be treated with respect. Demon likes to play with toys. He happily runs after them, but he isn't able to bring them back. Demon requires work. He only allows petting on the head and around the neck, and he really doesn't like being touched from behind, and during play he can be too impulsive. It seems he doesn't want to do harm - it's just that no one has taught him self-control. He needs someone who knows when to back off and patiently teach the dog proper behavior. It's worth starting work with a behaviorist right away. The dog cannot be let off the leash - he might attack. He should always be on a leash for his own and others' safety. In the kennel, he stays alone and in the House he should also be alone. We are looking for a responsible home, without children. Several introductory walks are required. Maybe you will be his new, responsible owner who gives him peace, warmth and a new chance to show his true "self" :)? Born in 2016. Vaccinated, dewormed and neutered. Transport at own expense. Lives in an animal shelter in Radom.

Demon to energiczny, trochę zadziorny, ale przy tym dojrzały pies. Cechuje go duża pewność siebie. Nie jest agresywny, ale ma swoje zasady i granice. Nie pozwoli sobą pomiatać i trzeba go traktować z szacunkiem. Urodzony w 2016 roku. Zaszczepiony, zaczipowany i wykastrowany. Transport we własnym zakresie.Przebywa w schronisku w Radomiu. Kontakt telefoniczny:Kasia 507 237 447

About Demon

What life with Demon looks like

Demon is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Demon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Demon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Demon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Demon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Demon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Demon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Demon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
