Denni

Male · Young · 3 years

Denni is a beautiful, three-year-old male cat with a gentle temperament and a huge heart for people. At first contact, he can be a bit shy, but all it takes is a little patience to reveal his true nature. Once he feels more confident, he’ll approach people on his own, eagerly asking for petting and happily spending time in their company. He’s a very people-oriented cat who clearly values the bond with his caregiver. At the same time, he retains youthful energy. He’s curious about his surroundings, active, and enthusiastically engages with everything going on around him. He also has a positive attitude toward other cats, making him comfortable in their company. Denni is a carrier of the FeLV virus, so he can live either as an only cat or in a home with another FeLV-positive cat. The virus poses no threat to humans or other animal species. The kitten is also dealing with skin issues, likely of an allergic origin. He’s undergone a dermatological consultation, and the recommended treatment is currently being implemented. We hope that with proper care and a calm living environment, he’ll enjoy the best possible quality of life. We’re looking for a calm, responsible, and permanent home for Denni. He’s a wonderful cat full of warmth and potential, ready to become a devoted companion. Just give him a chance, and he’ll surely repay you with his trust and presence. We invite you to fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire and come visit the shelter with the completed form already prepared. Before adopting, make sure your home or apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Please note: When deciding to adopt a cat or considering adoption, be sure to bring a carrier or transport bag for cats to the shelter.

Denni to piękny, trzyletni kocurek o łagodnym usposobieniu i ogromnym sercu do ludzi. W pierwszym kontakcie bywa nieco nieśmiały, ale wystarczy odrobina cierpliwości, by pokazał swoją prawdziwą naturę.

About Denni

What life with Denni looks like

Denni is a small young adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Note from the shelter: FeLV positive - requires home without other cats or with other FeLV positive cats only

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Denni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Denni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Denni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Denni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Denni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Denni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Denni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
