Deus is a beautiful Husky boy, that has unfortunately been handed around between people and in the end was brought to the shelter in the middle of high summer, as the other dogs in the last home were not happy with his presence. In the shelter, Deus is currently living alone while he is meeting suitable friends, however Huskies normally are pack animals, and in his previous homes, Deus has lived together with other dogs. He is a proper Husky indeed, with his own character and opinions! He is active, like Huskies are, and is looking for a home where he can have a lot of daily movement, either in a bigger plot of land, or with a human who is physically active and likes to spend a lot of time in the nature. With his massively thick fur, Spain and the raising temperatures are really not ideal for him at all, and in the best case scenario, Deus would find a home in cooler climates, a more natural environment for these Nordic breeds. Deus has a fun-loving character, and he is always awake and present, ready for all activities together with his human. He absolutely loves the pool and water, and walking in the nature is totally his thing. He loves adventures in the forest, jumping over tree trunks and obstacles, and manages to find a treasure - tennis ball - even in the deepest forest! He loves to drive in the car, and is ready to jump in as soon as you open the door. Deus is very attentive, and since he is very very food-oriented, it is easier to work with him than with other Huskies, who by nature are quite stubborn and on top don't care of snacks either! So that's a positive for Deus, at the same time, lack of movement and love for food, is causing him to go overweight here in the boring and hot shelter environment. The kennel stress is not great for any dog, and Deus is handling the situation quite well, considering that his breed and level of activeness is very much out of place in a steaming southern animal shelter. We hope we can find him the right home, before he gets frustrated in the shelter. Previous Husky/Nordic working dog experience is required from Deus new home, and for the time being, he is not rehomed with small children or small animals in the house, taking into consideration the primal instincts of the primal breeds. Deus shoulder height is approximately 60cm.
