Deutsch Drahthaar Rüde „Hero II von Ossenbrügge“

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

We are urgently seeking a new handler or hunting home for our 1.5-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer, Hero II von Ossenbrügge. From a hunting performance breeding, Hero is an intact, active, and willpower-strong male dog who is calm in the house. He can stay alone and enjoys going for car rides. He shows a lot of passion at work. He loves retrieving, water work, and field work. He has successfully completed the VJP (69 points – trail work 11 points, nose work 11 points, standing 10 points) and loves to work! We must part ways with Hero on one hand because we can no longer adequately/huntingly utilize and further train him due to professional reasons. Unfortunately, Hero is also very handler-dependent, and biting incidents have occurred. Our household situation cannot be adjusted spatially. Hero needs consistent leadership to show what he is capable of and that he can be a great hunting partner. The future handler should definitely have experience with hunting dogs/shorthaired pointers. Hero has lived alone so far and is friendly towards other dogs! Cats and other small pets should not live in the household. Location: Düsseldorf or 54579 Üxheim/Vulkaneifel Further Information: Jagdhunde in Not.

54579 Üxheim/ Vulkaneifel Weitere Informationen: Jagdhunde in Not e.V Kornelia Ritter ,

Frequently asked

Adopting Deutsch Drahthaar Rüde „Hero II von Ossenbrügge“, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Deutsch Drahthaar Rüde „Hero II von Ossenbrügge“?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jagdhunde in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Deutsch Drahthaar Rüde „Hero II von Ossenbrügge“ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Deutsch Drahthaar Rüde „Hero II von Ossenbrügge“ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jagdhunde in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Deutsch Drahthaar Rüde „Hero II von Ossenbrügge“ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Deutsch Drahthaar Rüde „Hero II von Ossenbrügge“ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jagdhunde in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Deutsch Drahthaar Rüde „Hero II von Ossenbrügge“ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
