Adopt Devon

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Dev, Devcio, Devon O 5 years Old Big bachelor Neutered, chipped, vaccinated Ready for adoption Likes to fetch, lie in the garden and sometimes guard. Afraid of storms and fireworks Goes to the vet, calmly allows everything to be done, although he sometimes talks a lot in the style of a hound. Accepts medication for ticks. With other dogs it's different, each needs to be checked individually... It sounds so scary, but it's not at all. He needs a playmate. For example: the neighbor's dog is great. Gosia - that little grandma, she scares him. He had a favorite friend: a hound, but she unfortunately left. Sometimes he meets a colleague hart and very politely invites him to play. For walks, he makes arrangements with other dogs and walks nicely with them. Recently he met a new friend at the vet, they played beautifully, but their paths diverged. BUT: sometimes you have to give a correction and have a firm hand because he will catch and chase. Sometimes he doesn't like and already. Won't live in a house with a cat and small animals Definitely a big girl dog with character who would rather steal his big heart. We prefer a house with a garden. We won't give him to a kennel. We won't give him to a shed. This is a dog who is looking for a family. Really a good dog with an extraordinary canine beauty, loves walks, people - both small and big (but remember that this is a large dog and can accidentally knock over). He is comforting, knows basic commands. Can keep clean. Can be left alone at home. Doesn't destroy, but... He is smart and clever. He will open here, check there, eat and close. Has a great nose. This is a dog who has potential and learns quickly. Please give him a chance. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: 1. Fill out the Questionnaire: Adoption questionnaire 2. Meet the dog and a pre-adoption visit. For this dog, several meetings may be required. 3. Sign the contract and hand over the dog Contact regarding adoption - 506 952 182. I will still ask you to fill out the adoption questionnaire. If I don't answer, please send an SMS: "Regarding adoption Devon" - then I will call back. How can you help? Donation to the collection: Donation to our account: Title:

Devi, Devcio, Devon O k 5 lat Duży kawaler Wykastrowany, zaczipowany, zaszczepiony Gotowy do adopcji Uwielbia aportować, wylegiwać się w ogrodzie i czasem stróżować. Zapoznanie z psem i wizyta przed adopcyjna. 3. About Devon

What life with Devon looks like

Devon is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Devon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Devon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Devon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Devon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Devon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Devon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią early rather than rehoming privately; they know Devon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
