Adopt Dias

jQuery(document).ready(function($) { setTimeout(function(){ $('.boosted-elements-fotorama-8270bcc').fotorama(); Gender: Male Age: born ca. 07/2022 Dias loves to run around and play with the other dogs. The female dog Manoula was found with her 6 newborn puppies in early July 2022 in an inhospitable area near Athens/Greece. As she had no fear of people and the animal welfare workers also allowed her to approach her puppies, it can be assumed that she was abandoned there. The animal welfare workers took the dog family in and brought them to a private emergency station. And so, the request came to us whether we could find a home for the dog mother and her puppies. By now, the puppies are almost three years old, one of them is Dias. He loves to run around and play with the others. Of course, he knows nothing beyond the station, no grass, no forest, no traffic, no couch, no vacuum cleaner. But he will quickly get to know all of that once he arrives in a family. If you are currently looking for such a rough diamond, with enough time and patience, but also the necessary financial means to adopt a dog, then contact us, Dias could soon discover the world with you! We thank Mr. Gerfried B. for taking over the rescue sponsorship. Update from April 2025: The shy Dias has been living with over 50 other dogs in a shelter in Athens for almost three years. He is compatible with all the other dogs, but is still a bit shy around people. Therefore, we are looking for an end placement with dog experience for him. More dogs are looking for a home... Mia San wants a quiet dog bed for herself. Milly has been waiting for her people for so long. Oscar is not only friendly and open to people but also to other dogs. Maya wants her own home. jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $('-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c').owlCarousel({ itemClass: "tailwag-carousel-item", onTranslated: tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c, // breakpoint from 0 up // breakpoint from 768 up // breakpoint from 1025 up function tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c(){ $("-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c").addClass("tailwag-carousel-left-arrow-on");

jQuery(document).ready(function($) { setTimeout(function(){ $('.boosted-elements-fotorama-8270bcc').fotorama(); Geschlecht : Männlich Alter : geb. ca. 07/2022 Dias liebt es herum zu rennen und mit den anderen Hunden zu spielen. Die Hündin Manoula wurde mit ihren 6 neugeborenen Welpen Anfang Juli 2022 in einem unwegsamen Gelände in der Nähe von Athen/Griechenland gefunden. Da sie keine Angst vor Menschen hatte und die Tierschützer auch an ihre Jungen ran ließ, kann man davon ausgehen, dass sie dort ausgesetzt wurde. Die Tierschützer nahmen die Hundefamilie mit und brachten sie in einer privaten Auffangstation unter. Und so kam die Anfrage an uns, ob wir für die Hundemutter und ihre Welpen ein Zuhause finden können. Inzwischen sind die Welpen fast drei Jahre alt, einer davon ist Dias. Er liebt es herum zu rennen, mit den anderen zu spielen. Natürlich kennt er außer der Station noch nichts, kein Gras, keinen Wald, keinen Autoverkehr, keine Couch, keinen Staubsauger. Aber das alles wird er recht schnell kennenlernen, wenn er erstmal in einer Familie angekommen ist. Falls Sie gerade auf der Suche nach so einem Rohdiamanten sind, genügend Zeit und Geduld, aber auch die nötigen finanziellen Mittel haben, einen Hund zu adoptieren, dann melden Sie sich bei uns, Dias könnte schon bald mit Ihnen die Welt entdecken! Wir danken Herr Gerfried B. für die Übernahme der Rettungspatenschaft. Update vom April 2025.: Der schüchterne Dias lebt inzwischen schon seit fast drei drei Jahren mit über 50 anderen Hunden in einem Shelter in Athen. Er ist verträglich mit allen Hunden, aber Menschen gegenüber noch etwas scheu. Daher suchen wir für ihn eine Endstelle mit Hundeerfahrung. Noch mehr Hunde suchen ein Zuhause... Milly wartet schon so lange auf ihre Menschen. Oscar ist nicht nur Menschen, sondern auch anderen Hunden gegenüber freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Maya möchte endlich ihr eigenes Zuhause haben. Mia San möchte endlich ein ruhiges Körbchen für sich. jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $('-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c').owlCarousel({ itemClass: "tailwag-carousel-item", onTranslated: tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c, // breakpoint from 0 up // breakpoint from 768 up // breakpoint from 1025 up function tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c(){ $("-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c").addClass("tailwag-carousel-left-arrow-on"); }

About Dias

What life with Dias looks like

Dias is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. in Bad Vilbel.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dias, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dias?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dias on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dias if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dias already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dias isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dias and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
